The People Peek (Favorites) can be removed via enabling the To-Do Bar People (View tab > To-Do Bar > People), and then right click on the people entry you want to move, click Remove from Favorites. Don’t choose the Country based on the date and number formats you prefer, those can be changed by clicking Additional Settings. In most cases, the change will take effect immediately, however, you will need to close and re-open contacts that are open.Ĭhoose the correct Country or Region for your location in the Format dialog. The options are to turn the To-Do Bar Off (the default) or for it to display a combination of Tasks, People and Calendar. Click the View tab, select To-Do Bar, and from the dropdown list select which items should appear on the To-Do bar. Select the desired country from the dropdown on the Format tab. Outlook 2016 disables the To-Do bar by default, but it's easy to bring back. If you use the Category view, it's under Clock, Language, and Region, or use the Search field. The contact list will now show in the Outlook address book in the drop down box. Click the Outlook Address Book tab and check the box for Show this folder as an e-mail Address Book.
In Windows 7 this is called Region and Language Options, and in Windows XP, it’s Regional and Language. Right click the list and select properties. In earlier versions of Windows, Outlook gets the default country for contact addresses from the Region applet (Windows 8/8.1). To change it, you need to open Control panel, Language and add the language for the country you want set as default, or move it to the top if it's already in the list. In Windows 10, Outlook uses the Language country to set the default country in contact's physical addresses. Use the pull-down menu to select the contact list that you want displayed as the default when the address book is opened. For Outlook 2010 / 2013, select Start with contact folders or select Custom and rearrange the order of contacts as required. These contacts are displayed in the Address Book dialog box when you click Contacts in the Address Book list. For Outlook 2007, click the drop-down arrow next to Show this address list first. The Outlook Address Book is created automatically and contains the contacts in your default Contacts folder that have either email addresses or fax numbers listed. To change the default country used for physical addresses in new Contacts, you need to change the country in the Region or Language applet.
